SocietyFirst is a non-governmental, non-sectarian, non-profit organisation with a bunch of committed professionals and aid workers forming a strong but low-profle volunteer coregroup. / We believe that social work is a profession where everyone works towards making a positive difference. For a social worker no two days are ever the same-it is often challenging and it can be difficult. But in SocietyFirst the social work is rewarding-and vital.We aim to make the greatest difference,as we often work closely with other professionals. SocietyFirst gives thrust in improving people's lives-and helps them to make choices.Nothing is roughly thrust into their hands with an excuse that'take this and be satisfied'. In SocietyFirst the society comes first, and it is our cherished goal that all citizens who comprised this society should be worthy members of it. / The idea of hosting a web site to tap its best possibilities in attainig the goals of SocietyFirst was first probed and developed by the guiding spirit behind this organisation -- Bini Joseph, better known as a brilliant but different journalist whose penchant for treading on untrodden paths in reporting especially on people and issues on the fringes of the society, a visual media expert and above all an unrelenting humanitarian and an unssuming philanthropist. He has been credited with a number of human interest and news stories which played up social issues that rocked the collective psyche of the Kerala society as a whole.
