Cost of Intervention

Cost of Intervention

Many school management jobs were lost by people holding public offices, many public sector administration clerks were freed of duty and many people remained unemployed because of the cuts undertaken by the UK government. Furthermore, the government supports the extension of the cuts scheme in order to save money and thus protect the UK from further financial disturbances. But new info reveals some controversial information - what about the expenses of the country that have nothing to do with the choice of the people? The operation supported by the UK in Libya has reached 250 million pounds of expenses for the UK - what a good way to save money from public cuts and spend them… in a war.

So this is what our favorite David Cameron put so much effort into - he explained smoothly and with measured voice how troubled the Libyan society is, how important is for the UK to act and so on and so on. He also explained how necessary a public cuts scheme is for the UK and how the money saved would be used to back up the economy and contribute to the reduce of deficit. However, this has not happened quite similarly to the plans. For example, Manchester Council saved up to 50 million pounds at the expense of 3000 employees - well, this whole amount of money plus 4 times the same sum was used to fuel military operations. So if 50 million pounds equals to 3000 employees being cut, this means that 15 000 people are now jobless for the greater good, as first announced, but the money saved from their disposal were actually used in the hunting of an Arab despot.

How convenient - the stories from the Tories continue to amaze as. Now we all know that the best way to help your nation cope with financial difficulties is to deprive 15 000 people from jobs and to put their money into a no-return investment - a nice, tiny war in the Arab world.
